Running together for a good cause

Thousands of kilometers, hundreds of participants and two good causes: a look back at the Tübinger Erbe Lauf and Virtual Charity Run 2026.

This September, the Tübinger Erbe Lauf and the Virtual Charity Run brought people together through physical activity and a shared commitment to supporting a good cause. Across both events, participants and Erbe Roadrunners contributed their kilometers to make a difference.

Tübinger Erbe Lauf

The Tübinger Erbe Lauf is an annual running event that brings runners of different ages and abilities together in Tübingen. With several distances and formats, the event combines sport, community and charitable commitment.

This year, 3,807 participants crossed the finish line, covering a total of 23,851 kilometers. Among them were 75 Erbe Roadrunners, who contributed 620 kilometers.

The event resulted in a €15,000 donation to Zirkus Zambaioni, supporting its work with children and young people.

Virtual Charity Run

The Virtual Charity Run makes it possible to participate from anywhere in the world. Over the course of one week, participants collect kilometers wherever they are – running, walking or hiking – and contribute to a shared charitable goal.

This year, 544 participants from 26 nations took part, including 192 Erbe Roadrunners. Together, they covered 18,969 kilometers.

For every kilometer completed, Erbe contributed €0.50 to the donation. The resulting amount was rounded up to €15,000 and donated to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).

A sincere thank you to everyone who participated and contributed their kilometers. Both events show how movement and community can come together to support important causes.
